Richmond Hill Ward 4 Councilor David West is the new mayor of Richmond Hill. West won 13,053 votes (33.55 per cent) in the 2022 mayoral byelection.

RH Board of Trade, in partnership with Rotary Club of Richmond Hill and others organized the All Candidates virtual event / debate on Jan 18th for residents benefits to get familiarize with all the candidates.

2. Mohamed Abdulla Classification

Mohamed Abdulla has recently rejoined our Rotary Club.

 

A retired Chartered Accountant, he joined Rotary in Mombasa (‘65-‘76), then in Rotary Club of Calgary (‘78-‘84), Richmond Hill (‘84-‘85), and Nairobi (‘85-‘21).

He also served as Governor of Rotary District 9212 (for ’04-’05) covering several countries in East Africa.

 

Mohamed believes that the Rotarians must introduce our Richmond Hill’s youth to Rotary’s core values, the Four-Way Test, and our stand on ethics as we implement these in our trade, profession, or personal life.

3. Rotary Club of Richmond Hill - 70th Anniversary

 

We are in process of organizing an 70th Anniversary Event, sometimes in early May. It would be a high class reception with exclusive invitations, limited to 100 guest, showcasing a house of friendship having few projects display and banners including 3/4 fold brochures, covering RCRH achievements and its activities both Internally and locally.

4. Current State of Economy - David Obadia

Rotarian David Obadia, Senior Wealth Advisor, Portfolio Manager at CIBC Wood Gundy gave a fascinating presentation on the current state of the economy. This is an issue close to all of our hearts! Thank you David!

 

5. RCRH GOLF TOURNAMENT 2022

The Richmond Hill Rotary Club is delighted to announce that we will be holding our 2022 Charity Golf Tournament at the beautiful Lebovic Golf Course on Wednesday, June 29th.

  

 

Ranked the 3rd best new golf course in 2016 by Golf Digest, Lebovic Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by world renowned course architect Doug Carrick. The par 70 layout is set upon 150 acres of rolling hills on the Oak Ridges Moraine in Aurora, Ontario. With breathtaking view and natural beauty, the course challenges both the expert player and novice alike.
